So I tried two types of pellet foods today for my new freshwater (brackish) moray eel, juuuust to see if he would try them. He's eaten everything I've put in there for him (home-grown baby crayfish, earthworm, and frozen food from the grocery store (by far favourite)). I'm fully aware that "rarely if ever" is their general reaction. He repeatedly tried to chew one down (the small sinking cichlid pellet, round) but it was getting stuck on his teeth. But he was definitely interested and I'm not sure if he got it down or not (he pulled it into one of his lairs), but the other pellet, a slightly longer, slimmer shrimp pellet he ate, and then a second when I tried to confirm. (I kind of baited him with a piece of squid too but he showed interest in the pellets before I added that).

So... success? Should I add pellets he'll accept to his diet, or stick with the more natural meaty foods only? Opinions wanted!
