Can a freshwater moray go in a freshwater tank with no salt & what fish are they compatable with.

They NEED salt. I think they're an uncommon species that doesn't though.

G. tile is the most commonly sold moray of fw, but a heavy brackish-marine will suit them best. Not freshwater at all.

As far as freshwater eels go there are no moray species that stay in fresh water settings only brackish to marine. There are a couple of species of true eels that are fresh water but get too large for most people to keep at home. I am not sure of the American eel but the other fresh water eel its cousin the European eel can actually move on land. Both get quite large.

yes this is true (i kno from persanal exp. female american eels can be almost 5 feet long.)

1 tablespoon of salt per 5 gallons did my own research on this

1tbsp salt/5g willl not even register on a hydrometer. Even low-end BW (SG 1.005) requires roughly, about 1 cup of marine salt/5g.
