I have this 5-6inch freshwater prawn in a 20 gallon high tank with 4 silver dollars.. The prawn already killed some cory cats, black ruby barbs, and zebra botias.. the prawn is constantly goin after the silver dollars, which are all beat up with nipped fins.. i feel like the 20 gallon tank is just way to packed for these fish..
i have 55 gallon african tank with a super dominant ice blue zebra.. a red zebra, an electric blue johanni, an auratus, a jewel cichlid, and a tropheous duboisi.. i originally had 15 mbunas in the tank, but lost most of them due to aggression.. the ice blue zebra is extremely territorial and claims pretty much the entire tank as his own..
i'm thinking about putting the freshwater prawn in the cichlid tank.. i was gunna go buy one of those ceramic half log caves from petsmart to put in there for the prawn to have his own cave..
what do you guys think?? is this a possible combination?
here is a pick of the freshwater prawn for those of you who never heard of them.. they can get up to a foot in length.. my grew about 2 inches in 8 months
