Does anybody know where to buy these? I see them at the super Arlen but they are dead and ready to eat. Obviously I am interested in a live one. I don't need a specific store but a type of store that may sell them. I live in upstate new York incase any pet does know a specific place to go

Im in NNJ and theres an asian food market by me that sells all kinds of stuff by the pound. It's alive until they kill it when you order it, they look at you funny when you hand them a bucket but who cares. They have giant jade gobies, barramundi, swamp eels, prawn, among tons of others. Be careful though theyre usually sick annd riddled with parasites which makes me wonder how people eat them.

I've seen them at Pacific Aquarium in NYC on the LES but I don't believe they have them currently. Although they could probably source them...I don't think they're rare. Ever consider trying to get one online?

Im trying to avoid buying online because the shipping is so expensive. I would consider it though. Do you know any dealers that carry them?

I got mine from Aquaculture of Texas. The owner there insists on sending them overnight UPS or FedEx. USPS Express is way cheaper. If you can get him to ship them via Express, you should be able to get 100 PL prawn for less than $80. That's not a bad deal considering. Just make sure you have enough room for them. 125 gallon tank or bigger.

That's not a bad price at all. Although I only have a couple 55 gals and a 5 so maybe I can convince some friends to house some of these guys and possibly split the costs
