Where is the best place to find some good rock for my Tropheus other than paying the ridiculous prices that are on eBay?

Thanks

I get my rock from a local landscaping yard...

The rocks that work wonderfully for my aquarium are usually what they consider scrap and I am rarely asked to pay for any of them...

For the last few years I've been getting rocks about twice a year from the same place. I just bring them a nice toy for their Christmas toydrive every year and the "scrap" rock I take is free...

Some people boil rocks... some people wash them / soak them in a bleach/water solution...

I usually rinse them with a hose in the driveway and put them in...

Any rocks collected from a natural underwater ecosystem (such as a local river, lake, stream, etc) should be better cleaned to avoid transferring bacteria, fungi or parasites into your system... but rocks kept in dry storage are extremely unlikely to contain anything that can negatively affect your aquarium...
