Freshwater sting ray

can u die from a sting of a freshwater ray? If so, how should u can the tank?

from what i hear (never been stung) its extremely painful, but only ever fatal if your really stupid (poking the ray with your nose) in the aquarium its only ever gonna get your arm which should not be fatal, take a tour around the stingray forums in the bottom dwellers section they are awesome

people get stung on accident every day in the arms and legs, be it in the wild or in an aquarium. while extremely painful, its not deadly unless your stabbed in a vital organ or the like like unfortunetly happened to Steve Irwin

No but if you get stung it's reccomended to go see a doctor; and get a lot of painkillers

much more painful then a sting.... unless she used the barb to cut it :S
