Freshwater switch to saltwater aquarium

What would be the best way to change over my 55 gallon freshwater to saltwater. And what can I still utilize from what I have in my tank now?

It depends on what you have in your tank. A lot of people are proponents of starting fresh, but you can probably salvage some stuff from your system. What are you currently running in your 55.

Really all i would use is the light and heater. You cant use lava rock in a marine tank. I would personally ditch the 2 ac70s for a sump too.

You can use the light, heater, pfs (pool filter sand I assume) and I see no reason not use the lava rock. My 75 gallon fowlr has a few large pieces of lava rock in it.
