Well after losing one of my Sens to a < 2" gap I decided to take no chances with my tanks.

I am guessing he went up the mesh over the filter and then down by the window.....

Damn...You have a leaper. I've never seen a bichir so persistent in jumping out of the tank. I dunno if that cover will keep your bichir in.
