I think my heart just about tried to escape from my chest cavity.

I was feeding the big fish some catfish nuggets (yes, they are ghetto fabulous) and the arowana swam up to get some. I dropped some in for him and he got excited and attacked it and flipped out of the tank. This fish is every bit of two feet long and probably about eight pounds and strong as hell and he's flopping around on my carpet. Not to mention he's one of my favorites and flopping around on carpet can't be good for him.

He's back in the tank now and I'm pretty sure he's fine but DAMN did that scare me. He's never pulled that stunt before. :cry:
 
Hate when that happens! The easiest thing to do is to use a towel to pick them up. They are slippery mofos using bare hands. Or just tell Levi to do it!

I was freaking out looking for a towel.
she had it back in the tank before I could find one
