Friends goldfish isnt doing well, any advice?

Ok so my friends gold fish isnt doing so well, it will just chill then float to the top upside down, but when you check to see if its dead it seems to swim just fine, I dont know how long these things live im thinking he may just be at the end of his time. Any advice guys. Theres another goldfish with it thats doing just fine.

Ok yea definitely not on its death bed then lol, anything I can advise her to do to help him

prescription: test your friends nitrate, ammonia, nitrite levels. if high bring them down with water changes.

the idea heres is trying to give the fish a good environment so it can heal itself, if its not too bad
