Has anyone here has successfully kept a Chaca .sp aka Frogmouth cats? Because 2 days ago I bought a 5" Chaca bankanensis and it hasn't eaten anything yet. I've tried live ghost shrimps, feeders (1" and 0.5"), and bait worms but it seems not interested. Any solution? Thanks
Here's a pic of the cat in the store #crappyimage

Give them more time still probably acclimating. Keep ghost shrimp in there they will start disappearing:)

A lot of fish need time to get used to their surroundings. In nature they are prey for mammals, birds, lizards, reptiles, other fish. To them, they are in a new and unfamiliar place and they want to know who's going to eat them first.

Subdued lighting, hiding places, and some time will help.

Not had frogmouth's, but all other cats I have had I always get them started with live bloodworms after a couple days. So long as there isn't any other bottom feeders that will swarm in and take it all before he gets any..

Mount Prion has, or had, one, I think. He REALLY has awesome luck with his fish - and if anyone has had success, it's him.

Nothing more you can do, be patient:cool:
Okok, maybe I'm just too worried about it since it's my first time keeping them.
