Since my growouts hit 8-9" Ive had to move them to a sectioned off (using Egg Crate) part of the main tank.

I made the mistake of leaving a small gap at the top of the divide and one of the Pleios jumped over and was bitten
clean in two by the 17" Vulture Cat :(

I have now increased the height to leave no gap but somehow the big 15" Bass smashed through and actually snapped a
cable tie leaving a small gap at the bottom...... unfortunitly my 9" Xingu got through and was tore apart :(

I am deverstated, Ive lost two of my favorite fish.
Ive been so up the wall setting up a reef tank Ive failed to look after my prize Cichla!

Im wounded

Im wounded too bro my sao fran just died... No words of encouragement for you bro.. Just want you to know that you're not alone brother...

Very bad luck! Thats hard to hear yet alone to deal with! Sorry to hear that as that is one tough pill to swallow.

Damn jay and darboy. Sorry for your loses. It's never a good day in the cichla world when you hear seasoned bass keepers loses there bass.

Damn....too bad man. It's one thing to lose a juvi but a healthy adult is another story. Feel for you. Get some of those blue Orinos from aquascapeonline....interested to see how those turn out.

Sorry to hear Jay. Double bullocks.

Sorry for your losses. Divider can be a tricky part of the game...especially when big cats are involved.
