Hello everyone , just wanted to ask before i do. I'm goin to change my RBP,s diet from Flakes to Brine shrimp (frozen). Any precautions i need to keep an eye or special Defrosting i need to know??? ANY TIPS WILL HELP VERY MUCH ...:headbang2Peace and love to the ]\/[onster's!!!

You should be feeding your piranha a variety of foods. Pellets, brine shrimp, bloodworms, nightcrawlers, fish fillets, shrimp, beefheart, leeches, tadpoles, frogs, ect the more variety you feed your fish the healthier n happier he'll be. You don't even have to let them thaw, brine thaws fast

Just adding them to the tank in frozen cubes will work fine. I defrost my bagged talapia fillets in my 20 gal before putting them in the big tank. Not sure how much the chichlids apperciate being a meat market but it works and doesn't dip their temp.

The bigger ones are 2" or so ,but they really grow fast. All together i have 11 RBP.The tank buddys they have are 2 tiger barbs...

They're big enough to be eating everything.by time mine are 1" they're eating whatever I put in there.I might feed small trout worms(small nightcrawlers)or dice/chop shrimp, krill,or break some pellets down to bite size but they'll eat it all.

Cool man, thanks for all the info.I'm new to the MFK and if i f up in any way please let me know! Anyways much love to all of you and your toothy counterparts... Wake-n-Bake-n-feed your fish..

I would start with a little at a time and start to increase then eventually get off of the flakes just me though

at that size, I'd suggest them to switch to pellets, like Hikari Cichlid Gold or similar. These pellets can last as their main diet for long time. mine are nearly 6 inches long each and still feed on the 'mini,' though i do toss in frozen shrimp or talapia every now and then. The frozen stuff can add a lot of ammonia to your tank if left in there.

I never fed my P's flakes because they have so little nutrition. I went straight to brine shrimp, then red worms, and when they where around 2" I would get them small red worms for fishing. They didn't eat them at first, but since they where alive and moved they played with them until I finally realized it was food and then they couldn't wait until a treat was dropped in the tank.
