As of right now I have an additional 30 gallon tank housing 1 small GPS Puffer, in fresh water. I am adding table salt right now as he had a small case of ick, but I am curious when to start the Brackish process, and the best way to proceed.

Second question is how long to stay Brackish and when to merge over to marine?
I was informed yesterday that once I reach marine, I will no longer need my power filter and will move to LR, skimmer and a circulation pump, is this correct? What kind of rocks?
