Gonna stick with this from now on! Fish appear to like it more than substrate. I started by ordering peacock bass thinking two could live in this dink tank. Thanks to you MFKers now I am spending my 100% attention on setting up there new home and I couldn't be happier I got involved in this hobby! It's costly but worth it for damn sure! Hell I'm an avid fisherman and I'd alma it rather be at home with my tanks :) View attachment 931407

Is that a fresh tank if not.. how did you remove your sand? any tips?
 
What makes you think the fish like the bare bottom more then having a substrate?

I realize it is not a natural environment but what fish keeper really has there fish in a natural environment? Alls I know it's its clean, healthy and nitrate free for the lost part :) I'm sure they appreciate that lol

Its much easier if you just siphon out with vinyl tubing
