The topic says it all.I came home today and this morning pulled the dumb ass move of the centry. I left the door to the terreriam oped and my blue trees WERE GONE!!!!!!:nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly: I was FREAKED I franticly started searching my 2400 square foot basement so you get the picture of trying to figure out where to start.Luckly I found the female in the 300 gallon fish tank stand asleep. Now where was the male????????? Afew rooms that had doors open went to the rafters and insulation of the floor truses:irked::irked::irked: After some intense praying I started to take thingsout of the closets and when I came to the last one I shined the flashlight in to the rafters and heard the ooooooh so familer hiss .I was f#$%ing elated it was the male:D:D:D:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2After some coaxing I freed him from the rafters and put him back in to the cage but not b4 the well deserved bite to my hand :screwy: That was the low .I was planing to feed tonite So with both of them in the cage I thawed out some mice and got the crickets .The female only eats cricketsas of now but I offer her a pinkie every time. Well she ate all the crickets but oe that was mia so I offered the pinkie.Nothing so I found mia cricket positioned pinkie in front of her and releced cricket heading tward her .Well she missed the cricket and got the pinkie instead:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2So hopefully she ate it I am going back down to see .
I DESERVE IT LETTHE FLAMING BEGIN......

HAhahaha, happens to the best of us, great that you found them though!!

Another thing you can try is ground turkey, just serve it on the dish and they go crazy for it, then slowly start incorporating mice chopped up or whole pinkies in with the turkey. Then once the monitor has begain aquiring a test for the mice completely eliminate the turkey.

Thanks for the advise The male is a pig he ate 2 hoppers. And usualy eats the pinkie when the female turns her nose at it.How often do you feed?? I have been feeding once a week for the male and give crickets to the female twice a week .

I would definatley up the food intake on both. This way their immune systems are working ful force, specially for the female she should eat at least 3x a week I would go 4 and mix it up cricks, turkey and mice. I feed all my monitors 3-4 times a week, i feed the males first. I let them get their fill then on to the females. A cycling female needs to eat alot so if your intentions are to breed them. Feed that girl alot!

Thanks for the info will do. I have ben mainly up to this point trying to make sure they were well hydrated more so then stuffed to the gills. They were both dehydrated to the point of having a overlap of skin down their sides. They both no longer have that so now i will be pumping them up.

Good call hydration is the most important thing with a newy shipped or acquired animal, since most shops dont house them properly
