I have a 105gal. tank I am putting one fire eel and one black ghost knifefish in, I also want to put in some frontosa with them does anyone know if they are compatable, from what i have read they are all fairly peacefull and none will fit into eachothers mouths. If this is ok how many can i fit in the tank with BGK and Eel???

You should be good. I've had fire eels and knives before and never had any issues with them ever. You just need to make sure that your fronts won't fit in their mouths, and vice versa.

Fire eels are a lot of fun! I had mine eating shrimp out of my hand when he was about 15" long. They're like puppies, haha. Just a tip: make sure you put screens over your input and outputs for your filters. They tend to swim into filtration and kill themselves.

Edit: You should be good with 4-5 I meant to say. I wouldn't really add anything beyond that. The eel will get rather large but his biomass isn't as big as other fish that get their length, so you should be ok.

Just be very careful about matching sizes. Fronts grow VERY slow. Otherwise, it should work with 4-5.

my 105gal. is looking pretty beat-up so i think i will just try to recycle the glass for some other future project. I was thinking of making a 140gal. plywood tank 48"X28"X24" for my fire eel, BGK, and 4 or 5 Frontosa. Was putting it off cause of the cost for water proofing until I saw the DIY thread with Zavlar from Liquid Rubber.
Do you think I could fit an Ornate Bichir in the tank? I know they get big around the two foot mark. And would it be a good idea to try to get the Fronts at around the 2-3 inch mark to be safe with the others? (Fire eel, BGK, and possibly the Bichir)
