Frontosa Background color?

What would be the best background color for my Burundi Frontosa?

Painted black background. Latex or acrylic paint will work fine.
Simple and cheap, just use a roller.

Black background white sand, makes their colors pooooop, that's what I use with my mpebwes

Black background and white sand is a good combination for Frontosa. That was my set-up until I got tired of jacking around with the sand. Now I have mostly crushed coral.

Aragonite is kinda spendy but it makes for amazing bio media, as well as help with buffering water. I know in SW tanks if you use a DSB it will take on denitrateing properties....think it will do the same in a FW set up?
