IV had my colony if frontosa for about for weeks, iv got two dom males around 10 and 12" and 10 females biggest being about 9" smallest about 6". came home 3 days ago to find my 10" male was spawning with my largest female, after carrying the the eggs for 24 hours the female had eaten them :( was just wondering how long before the pair can spawn again ?

fronts don't breed like convicts do... I get 2 batches per female per year.
many front breeders will strip the eggs and use an egg tumbler to do the incubating. might be worth looking into if you don't want to wait for them to hold full term.

I don't think they have a timetable for breeding. Just keep your maintenance up and it should happen again. When who knows.

oh right cool, yeah have made an egg tumbler ready for next time, hopefully one of the other females will spawn in the mean time, cheers
