I've been looking for a frontosa breeding colony for months now. The ones I find are either to far away, to many in numbers (125g tank), or far to expensive.
However I have seen alot of adds advertising single fronts male or female of breeding size for $20-$40. Is it possible to build a successful breeding colony by introducing individual fish or do they have to be well acquainted to each other before breeding might happen. It would be far cheaper buying individual fish then to spend $500-$1500 on the whole colony.
