So, I finally got that frontosa I promised myself I wouldn't buy, and wanted to know, can you mix different varieties of frontosas and still get a colony? The one I got wasn't specifically labled.
 
I believe they are all the same species aren't they?

that was my thought, I have only heard of one Front...
 
I know that they are all same species, but there are like 5 or 6 different varieties, and I heard they don't do well together. If anyone gives me step by step instructions on how to upload pics from my computer to this website, Ill post pics of her.
 
one species but many variants. you can mix different variants but do it soon and all at once because once they form a colony, any new fronts will be outcasts. just an extra bit, most serious frontosa keepers frown at mixing variants and even worse if you breed the different variants together.
