My Frontosa is about a year old and 6 inches long. It is in a good tank set up and get enouf food and stuff. The problem it has almost or no blue color what so ever so i was wondering if it gets more blue with age or something.

Btw I tryed those african cichlid attack pellets it wont eat them.

Well the fishstore i bought it from had others that were bigger than it but same kind that had color.I just bought that last baby one they had and this was over a year ago

check your ph.. if you're ph isn't where it should be then it could display less color than it would at a high ph.

Can post a pic no camera and I'll check pH

pH thing said 4.5

4.5 are you sure? I'm surprised your tank hasn't crashed if that is right. Check it again.

PH is a little low for a Fronts normal range. If the fish has been living in the water for over a year and it is stable then I wouldn't worry too much. I don't know what kind of blue you are expecting but if it is a variant that isn't zaire then you could just get black and silver with a bluish tint when it is aggressive.

I was looking for just a little blue on fins and i checked again and it read 6 is that normal?
