I have a 3inch frontosa in a tank with a 1 and a half long finned albino oscar. But the Front doesn't seem like it will eat much of anything. I've tried feeders, nightcrawlers, sinking pellets, grass shrimp. The only thing it would eat is floating pellets, but I'm scared that if it keeps eating the floating pellets it would get the dreadful "float". Help please.

I don't know how good of advice this is but, my brother has a 4 inch Frontosa that he raised from a 1 inch fry. He only feeds his fish floating pellets. One thing we noticed is that his frontosa "burps" out excess air (just like other cichlids do). So far he hasn't had any problems; but maybe if they learn how to "burp" they won't have the problem?
If in doubt, feed them sinking pellets only!!! It will eventually take it

when switching food stop feeding for a few days/week then only offer the new food nothing else until they eat.
