i dont see a problem i have done it in the past they where all fine
together
 
I wouldn't recommend it because Mbuna's are none to nip the back of fins off of big fish.
 
I wouldnt mix them personally.
I mixed them for over a year & although the Frontosa were Ok (even breeding) they were never able to show their true personality as the mbuna were so rough.
They never held eggs to term either - probably from stress.

Much better left to a species tank IMO
 
Yes you can, no I wouldn't...

better to just keep fronts with more docile fish around the same size and make sure you have a colony of them, they do better that way. Other reasons stated above.
 
I'd be hesitant due to diet, and the constant harrassment the mbuna can do to the fronts
