i just sold my 3 cichla so now my 180 is empty im gonna put my super nice male frontosa, whose 13" give or take n been stuck in a 65 for a bit now,in the 180. my question is the 65 has a ph of 8.2-8.6 n the 180 is 7.4-7.8,will he b ok with the diffrence or should i use a buffer of some kind? the ph in all my tanks is very stable.

Will not be a problem. Don't bother wasting cash on a buffer.

I make my own buffering recipe so i would buffer the tank accordingly.
Even acclimating using the drip method might not be best.
If he is in a tank that has 8.5 ph and is moved to a tank with a ph of 7.5, even though it does not seam like much, it is ALOT
