hi guys, i have a friend that is asking me about on how to take care a frontosa.. he is about to buy 10 G1 Kigoma Frontosa Fry for $80.. do you think thats a steal? is Kigoma one of the best frontosa to keep? and also, please send us a link on how to take care of them.. pretty please? thanks!

Feed it sinking pellets... make sure you have a min. of 125gal tank... do regular water changes, give them hiding spots.. they will be skiddish for awhile.. watch them grow. As for price I ve seen them cheaper for 10 f1's and I have seen them cost more. They are one of the more common front's. IMO I dont think they are any better or worse to keep than any other frontosa.
it really depends on what you want... if you want a blue/purple frontosa then go wtih fry from a zaire variant, but they will cost more. If you want a nice frontosa for a decent price then go with kigoma fry... if you really dont care then just get some burundis small or big they tend to be cheap. I personally keep kigomas and I like them a lot but I would also like to get some Kapampa's. It just depends on what you want. I wouldnt really say any one is better then the other it's more or less just what type you like and how much $$ you are willing to spend to get them.
What is nice to the eye is to the beholder...or something like that.
My personal favorite Frontosa are the Kitumba. A little harder to find and a little more money, but very pleasing to the eye.
