Hi, i have some questions that have tp be answered.
I now have one Frontosa Burundi with few other tanganiykas.
I am getting more this Saturday.
The fronts in the store and mine are about 3 inches.
Im planning on buying 5 more Fronts then.
They are in a 100g tank,
My questions are.
1. How much will they grow over a year if i feed them well?
2. Should i get more than 5 fronts then and just pick out the extra males when the grow?

Hi Mike

Yeah i am thinking of buying 5 now and maybe 2 after a month!

But how much will they grow in a year?

Here is a pic of my fronts with other african haps and peacocks that i got at the same time (with in a month or two of the fronts) You can see the fronts are similar in size but smaller. They are slow growing compared to the others. It is noticable. I bought all the fish in this pic between sept and oct. So they are between 6-8 months old now.

Your alpha will grow the most, should get 4-5 inches after you had it a year. The others should grow steady but be slightly smaller.

Thanx Cichlidgirl !!!

I agree with Cichlidgirl. I purchased a small group of Kapampa Fronts @ 2" a little over a year ago and my alpha male is around 6 1/2" and the group has been housed with Kendalli's and they are not overfeed. Don't rush, enjoy the ride before you know it they will have outgrown the tank.
