Hey guys

My Frontosa's scales are peeling, i can only see it physically on one out of my 7, but the others arent the same as they use ro be, they hiding more, but the use to be very active, etc. I recently had a fish die in the tank about a week ago, i did a 50% water change the next day after the fish died. Im hoping this should be fine, but i cant be sure, need some help please.

i cant get any pics at this point in time. . .but the best description would be that some scales looked "lighter" almost like a blister on the fishes side and now its really peeling off. Not hectically yet, but one or two scales are peeling off.

and the others are starting to scratch

so what can i do?

Water changes, plus an anti-fungal medication. Maracyn 1 or Jungle fungus eliminator are two that I have used. Another less aggressive treatment would be Pimafix, which is 1% tea tree oil in water.

Alright thanx guys, i havent used any medication. . .but have kept on with the water changes and they have all seemed to have made a full recovery :-)

Now i notice, my dominant male, he is becoming far more aggressive and chasing most of the guys around. This is the reason for them all acting weird (hiding) and maybe even the peeling scales on the one fronty?

But now i dont know if this is good or bad. . .as i have been waiting about 1 year to breed these guys but i think they still far from breeding. . .but this might be a sign. . .good or bad, but still a sign, right?
