I also have another post in the ca/sa forum. I am undesided as to which fish i want to keep. I also love the majesty of the frontosa. My question is what is the number of frontosa that could be housed in a 120 4x2x2.

I'm not an expert on fronts, however since I've recently aquired some I've been looking into them alot. I would think no more than 3 fronts in a 120g comfortably.

I have a 120g and I'm thinking that I'm going to get another for my fronts. I really like the fact that the 120 is 24" front to back. It gives the tank a nice option for decorating in 3 deminsions.

My fronts(2) are currently in a 55g. They are doing fine. But I'll feel much better when they go into a larger tank.

I'm sure some others on here can give you more advice based on experience though.

You know how big fronts get don't you because at14 incher or even 10 it won't take many fish to crowd your 4 foot 120 your saving grace will be that fronts grow rather slowly. I have heard 6 is nice size colony to start with but I would look for a 6 foot tank at least 180 bigger is better with them.

Yeah I been looking at the size. I would rather have a colony of 6 or so. I will hold out for a bigger aqaurium. I will probably lean toward a peacock/hap tank.
