Frontosa Tank Mates

Please let me know yes or no to the below tank mates if ok with frontosa. i don't want to keep all of them just want to know which ones might work.

I kept and bred frontosa for years. Mixed them with mostly peaceful smaller tanganyikan cichlids. For it's large size , frontosas are rather peaceful, timid fish (and IMO pretty but boring). Of the three fish on your list, the gnathochromis permaxillaris is most likely to be your best choice for frontosa tankmates. The lepidolamprologus profundicola is moderately aggressive and might work in a very huge tank. The lepidolamprologus nkambae is way too aggressive for the frontosa. Lots of other suitable tankmates to choose from.

Do you have just 1 frontosa? You could get a couple more. They love to be in colonies

Try some Steatocranus. I've always thought they were good with frontosa.

a few friends of mine have had luck with benthochromis tricoti. they inhibit the upper water column while frontosa stay mid to low.

ANyone one kept Greenwoodochromis with frontosa?

A lot of people keep Altolamprologus calvus with their fronts.
