I would like some idea's on how to set up a new Frontosa Tank... The tank will probably be about a 125 gal.. at least that is my plan.. then i need some help making it look natural and beautiful to bring out the best in these beautiful fish.. i have many tanks but will only have one Frontosa tank to call my very own.. My husband has most of the say in the other tanks with my little imput once in awhile..haha So i would appreciate all the help i can get.. thanks Liz:confused:

start w/ sand for bottom...and a few rocks that u can stack together in the middle...

try to get 6 or more of small frontosa, from which i wish u to get a decent colony :)

2m/4f is a good colony...

Thank you that helps me get started... what type of rocks should they be... or i should say what type would you use.. natural or artificial? If natural then what is a safe stone to use.. I have 4 Frontosa's now... one is about 5 inches and 3 are two inches..do you think i can put all these together in the 125 gal without a problem and then add a few more as time goes by..

be careful on how long you wait, the little guys might end up as food lol

unless you buy some around the same size as the ones you have

I plan on doing this within the next two weeks.. do you think i would have a problem with the 5 inch front with the smaller 2 inch guys in a 125 gal? Otherwise i will leave the big guy alone in a tank to himself until the others mature.. also how many fronts should i have in a 125 gal.. i will have these 4.. how many more can i safely add if any?

what type of back ground would look good with fronts..

I have 6 stripe and 7 stripe fronts... i will be looking for more 7 stripes and maybe a few Zaires..if i can find them... just wondering with the natural sand and the rocks and caves should i have a plain background or a color background to enhance the fronts color... any suggestions? for now i will grow up the variety and then split the species into two or three different tanks as they mature.. but for now just would love a large tank filled with these beautiful fish.

Thanks i will take a look at it........
