Hi guys.I've got a 6x2x2 180 gal with 2 17"Florida gars.and.7 10 to 12" polypterus ansorgii in,and need some.mid / top swimmers would these be ok,sorry if it's a daft question but don't.know much about them but always.liked the look of them.

The gar would definitely make a snack out of it although have no experience with them together... I have my 4 2" fronts with polys... Biggest being 10" ornate... I guess it's safe for sometime... Luckily they do fit for now... If they do then I don't think they will be spared IMO... Ma ornate will be moved soon so I'm not worried of him snacking them out.

What size fronts u considering?

Thanks for the replies guys,I'd be looking at large frontosas,at least 6" so shouldn't be snack size,I've got a 6" geo in with them and they don't bother him at all,I was worried if they were aggressive towards the gars and polys really, also would the ph be ok for the.fronts at around 7.5.

It depends really... If you are getting a 6"er then u need to know how they have been kept... Since u rarely get WC then I don't think that should be of any concern....

You should do fine with that ratio... Good luck... Now how about some pics of your gar and polys 😉
