I just bought a 110 g tank and it came with two fish one is a red devil @ 11 inches and the other is this fish @ 13 inches, which the owner said was also a red devil but it has similarity to that of a frontosa. I want to know what specifically it is, a red devil, a frontosa, or a hybrid possibly?
Here are the pics of the big fish.

Sorry the quality isn't the best, this is on a camera phone because I couldn't find my digi camera.

So it is. I finished setting it up and so far I haven't seen it eat anything. I got some hikari gold cichlid floating pellets but he doesn't seem to have an apettite. He is not shy though cause he follows me around. Should I get some different food for him or just wait til he eats the pellets? I've also tried feeder goldfish but he just ignores them.

How long have they been in the tank? Maybe they're getting used to things from the big move.

If they're not eating pellets, try using some different stuff - fruits, veggies, fish meat, shrimp, etc. Or you could always ask the previous owner what they were being fed.

its been aboue 24 hours and the previous owners gave me the hikari pellets that they had left. So maybe they just aren't used to the new place.

I rescued some large oscars last week and they still are not eating right. It takes some time, as long as they eat a pellet or two every few days i would not worry for about 10 days to two weeks. I have had some success tempting them with freeze dried krill. They like them when they are not interested in the pellets.
