Hello everyone I am new here. I just want to know if a julie marlieri, electric yellow, and frontosa are compatible? Also what is the average price of a 1 1/2" frontosa? I got one for $14. Is that a good price?

A Frontosa will eventually outgrow all of the other fish you listed by a wide margin and attempt to eat them!

wsup GSWARRIOR? what part of norcal you from..
$14 is a good price depending on where you got it from.. i know a spot where you can get it alot cheaper.. you probably know about it too.. its in San Bruno.

im a frontosa guy too.. aside from my aros, and flowerhorn..
i was planning on getting some electric yellows as well.. ive seen frontosas try to catch other smaller fish theyre just really not all that fast. my brother in law grew his from 1-2 inches, and are now 5-6 inches and cant even catch a small feeder. Electric yellows are QUICK.. i guess it just depends how far apart they are in size, you shouldnt get an electric yellow way smaller than a frontosa. espescially if it will outgrow the others quickly.. the thing with frontosas is they get lonely so youll have to buy a lot of 3-5 of their same kind.. i once had 5 frontosas grew them to 4-5 inches from 1-2 inch, my arowana tank cracked (GF's niece threw something at it. SUCKS!!) so i had to put him somewhere, in my frontosa tank, long story short.. he grew, ate 3 of my frontosas, and the 2 were just stressed out and died. i also owned electric yellows (one of my first fish ive ever owned) and i really think theyll do well with frontosas. itll look hella good too.

good luck bro, post some pics, and keep me posted..

Hey hothandzison! Im from the east bay in san pablo close to berkeley, richmond area. Where in San Bruno can you get something cheaper than that? How much is it over there? Do you know the name of the lfs? Well the electric yellows seem fine for now. I guess I am going to have to move the frontosa to a bigger tank soon. So how fast do they grow from 1 1/2" to 5"?
