What is everyone out there feeding their frontosa? I have several in a 300 gallon tub that the only thing they eat every time is bloodworms. That is a little to expensive to feed every day. I have tried pellets and flakes but they spit it out. The fish seem skinny probably because of their finiky eating habbits. Any help appreciated.

If they were my fish, I would prefer to feed them a high quality cichlid pellet (NLS), but if they were to refuse it, I would try Hikari sinking carnivore which is simply irresitable for fish.

I feed sinking Hikari. ONLY feed sinking foods!

I have a colony of full size ones.

Thanks for the replies! I am off to get some Hikari sinking carnivore. I will let you know how it works.

going to be a little delay trying the sinking pellets as I could no find it in my local stores. Just ordered it online from Kens fish food.

Finally got the pellets in. First feeding with them they ate a few. Second feeding got better and now I think they ae eating all the pellets. Thanks again!

Try Piscine Energetics Inc mysis shrimp....this is like crack to my colony of fronts after supplementing their pellet diet (hikari and NLS) they reward me with a tank full of fry......

I have mine on omega 1 sinking shrimp pellets... they love them... really they love shrimp. I also feed NLS sinking pellets.
