I have a 7 strip frontosa and was wondering if it would get a long with a 6 strip frontosa the guy at the pet store said it should be fine but I would like to know for sure

yes they'll be fine as long as they're both males. if not, they'll be fine until they sexually mature, then youll either need to replace with a male, or get more females.

Maybe yes, maybe no. Unless you have another tank to separate the new fish if things don't work out, I wouldn't do it.

In addition, less than ideal to mix front variants...

Ideally yes you should just get another Kigoma, but if not any should work.

Important question would be, how large a tank do you have? frontosa get quite large. Is this a species only tank, or will it be a community tank?

They are better kept in small groups rather than singles or pairs unless they are just juveniles.

Should they breed though, if you give away/sell the fry be responsible and tell the owners that they are cross bred. Most people do not want mixtures.
