Where The Wild Things Are
I know they come from different parts of the world but will it work?

i want to set up a tank of

2x ebjds
5x fronts
2x red severums

I don't usually keep cichlids but these are some i want to have.

what size tank, b/c if those fronts are not small they might eat the EBJD if you're getting them while they are typical lfs size

yeah.dont get get big fronts in a tank with small eb's,but i do believe you can get away with some 2.5 inch or 3 inch fronts.since theyre really not that aggressive.you can also do a calvus,i keep them and theyre pretty damn peaceful.even if your mixixng africans and s.a

My fronts were fine with my severums... to grow them out..sevs stay at top and fronts mostly on bottom or middle... i do not know about the dempeys... but sevs and fronts never bothered each other. Sevs only bother other sevs.... lip locking etc especially if they are pairing up...

If these are WC's I'd watch the PH level, WC's don't adjust as well to varying PH levels as CB's do. Frontosa's will probably prefer more basic water as opposed to the Severum's, which will prefer more acidic water. I'd imagine you would also need a pretty large tank, all these fish range from 8" - 12" and even though sev's and front's are relatively non-aggressive, each fish or group of fish will need their own territory, especially if you get a breeding pair.

good point, especially with fronts, but with most severums they can be acclimated into standard higher pH water

they going in a 90 long 72" long and 15" wide for a while. my concern was the ph levels as well butim get them all CB which is a little less to worry about.
