I have vrecentlyv read thatv quite a few people fronts have jumped from their tanks to their death. has this happened to yours? Is there a reason as to why they do it? Mine jumped on tuesday and died

its really the first time i red about it..and really shocks me..
sorry man for your loss..

you shouldnt really dont care if some fish jump or not..you should always have a tight closed lid

I believe that they often jump out of the tank when spooked suddenly or they are trying to escape aggression. I have heard of them jumping out of the small space between the canopy and the filters on the back of the canopy.

I had two jump in the past. They both seemed to be to large for the opening on the back of the tank by the filter hoses but still managed to end up on the floor.

I know someone who lost a large front from jumping the tank.. not sure why as he was largest and there were only 2 fish in the tank.
