frozen baby brine for peacock fry???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ya give it a shot ..you might have to hatch your own but if they take it great better prepared then live ....

ok so i have a question (which is why i started this post)
when i fed the little guys a short while ago, I dumped the frozen baby brine in, and came back to watch them in under 10 min-it seems like the were looking hungry and looking for food, but i didnt really see any eat the tiny frozen shrimp-is it possible that they want live and they are not sure about taking the frozen stuff-any opinions...or did they all eat and be full in under 10 min? i doubt that last sentence...
thanks guys
john

I doubt it, but anything is possible. Frozen is probably better for them. There are pellets for newborn fish, TINY little pellets. I can't remember the brand but it's expensive but well worth it. I would just have some patience and keep waiting. A lot of babies will eat random trash floating around the tank that is too small for us to see or notice.

Id try and find some live if possible. Hope they eat the frozen for ya....fry need to eat.

Hey guys, great news I just noticde that the fry ate the live brine shrimp that I hatched today!!! Just saw a small % of them with reddish-orange bellies!!!! Hopefully all of them will catch on very soon!!!
