So I have a tank full of feeders and no fish to feed them to now. So I started thinking...

What if I freeze some of the feeders? Will larger fish still eat them?

Anyone done this? If its possible I might start stocking up now.

I think is should work no problem, once they realize it's food they should gobble it down. You might want to thaw them before feeding though.

Yeah thawing would be a must. I figured if they will take pellets, they would probably take frozen feeders.

Seems like a great way to stock pile.

I have a feeder tank and for some reason when I do a water change a good number of the feeders die soon after.I remove and store the dead in the freezer and give them to my fish when the live feeders run out.My fish snap them up like pellets.

I have fed my Oscar and JD when I had them, frozen smelt pieces and they loved it.

so if you freeze feeders, will you kill any "bad things"?
I think it will kill most common types of parasites.
