Just a quick question are freeze - dried foods just as good as frozen foods for bichirs?

Thanks,
Justin

frozen food would be alot better than dried in my opinion. i've never fed my pollies dried so i'm not that sure. From what I know, frozen food still hold some "juice" from the original "animal' (shrimp, worms) while the dried ones look less appetizing and shrivled up. I feed my pollies frozen brine shrimp and they love it!

i personally only use frozen. in my opinion i find it to be more fresh and seems like the fish like it more due to a fresher taste.

I quit using freeze dried years ago, frozen is not only more nutritious, from the way my fish reacted, it's a lot more palatable(tastier).

I like FD food. Less mess to clear up as compared to frozen

I feed a lot of prepared as is in pellet form, but my fish seem to "find room" for frozen or fresh at the end. No matter how many pellets he's eaten, my oscar can always eat a nightcrawler.(Sometimes a little bit of one end sticks out for 10 or 15 minutes, but he gets it down!)
