I just picked up a couple polys from a fellow mfk'er. He gave me a bag of frozen sand eels for food for them. I've never used them before. Has anyone here used them?
Funny story about my trip back home last night from the poly pick up. I had to travel about 60 miles so in the warm truck the bag of sand eels thawed. I happened to move the bag and it leaked all over my leg. needless to say they don't smell the greatest. I had to stop on the way home to pick up a few things. Well while I was at the store I picked up some flowers for my wife(our 16 year anniversary). it just looked (and smelled) bad me coming home with flowers and smelling like a $2 hooker :ROFL::ROFL:.. My wife had a good laugh over that!!!!!

lol, thats great. no idea on the sand eels though.

That's a very elaborate story you came up with to tell your wife, did she buy it? J/K:)

I don't think you will have any problem feeding the sand eels to your fish, it's not like the sand eels are salty or anything. I'm glad I can't imagine the stench of the sand eels.

After she smelled the bag of thawed eels she belived me :ROFL:!!!
I'm suprised she let me put them in the freezer after I rebagged them :D...
The problem with feeding my fish the sand eels is that none of them will eat them. I dropped a few in the big jars tank and he grabbed them all up. Just as fast as he grabbed them he spit them out. My silvers won't even check them out. I may try a few in a few days--if I can get past the smell :ROFL:!!!!!
