Frozen Seafood Mix safe to feed MBU puffer??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Welcome aboard
It's cooked so I personally wouldn't feed it to a puffer.
Yeah that’s what I was thinking just making sure because I saw a lot of debate on whether cooked food is bad for them. I appreciate the response. I ordered tons of live fiddler crabs and clams on the half shell have blood worms to hold over for now. I was only asking because shipping to me for 4 lbs of clams on the half shell is $40 for $40 of clams. Thank you again will probs just do bigger orders of those.

You can feed cooked but it isn't the best option.

Check at your local Sams club or Costco. They often sell 5lb bags of live mussels and clams for $2-3 / lb. I also feed my mbu puffers a raw seafood mix from Aldi that contains squid, shrimp, scallops, and mussels (without shell) that is very inexpensive and good quality.
