could I use FRP (pvc shower board stuff) instead of fibreglass in a plywood tank and just silicone the seams and where the glass would go
is FRP fish friendly?

Thats a pretty neat idea, too bad I dont have an answer for you. I wonder if you could use the pvc and then put the pipe adhesive on the seems to get it to "weld" together.

do you think it would be cheaper than liquid rubber?

and thanks Burko, you've been very helpful in my threads
thanks!

I need to start saving for a 180 and Im trying to go as cheap as possible while still doing a nice job

a used 180 here would be like a grand
I live on an island so anything big like that that has to be shipped here goes up like mad

if you can get a small piece take it and throw it in a tank with some feeders. i imagine it should be fine. the stuff is pretty weather resistant. pain in the ass to cut unless you got multiple sets of tin snips too
