Hey everyone,

I had some Fly River Turtles several years ago that I ordered in for resale in my shop. I didn't think much about them at the time and never put effort into finding more of them because they were expensive and tough to sell. They finally sold for me but I didn't make any money on them.

Now I am in the market for a few of them for myself to put in a large display tank I'm setting up. I have no intention to sell them. I have learned that they are now CITES II and tought to get leagally (or illegally) and are even more pricey than they used to be. THe only legitamate ones I found for sale were way over priced (even for FRT), all the other ones I have found scare me, the people seemed a little shady to me. I was afraid to give these guys any money.

Anyone have any connections on getting these guys? I would prefer smaller but would take a larger one. I realise that it's going to cost a few bucks.

Thanks...Joel

i can get 2 local... not cheap

seriously pm me if intersted

is there a place where i can find one also?
i know linksys made a sale about a FRT, but i think i missed out =\.

i live in SoCal, and the cost doesnt matter.

I have a large 8-9" shell female that has outgrown her tank and I am considering selling her. I have raised her since she was two inches (she cost me $375, that is when they first arrived in this country a few years ago) and she is extremely healthy and eats mostly shrimp and algae wafers. If the price is right I may consider selling her. Just pm me.

interesting...i never realized that they were CITES II. good luck with your search!

i wonder how many are currently here in the U.S.???

whats CITES II?
theres probably quite a few in the U.S, and the new law probably makes em cost even more. o_O
