this is the cute little piggy nosed soft shelled turtle right? what does frt stand for?
(don't laugh at me for asking please)
i think they are adorable, and i would like any and all info you guys could give me cuz i'd love to have one

Fly River Turtle. They aren't related to true softshells, are pretty mellow and are herbivores. You are supposed to keep them in hard, brackish water or soft acidic water, depending on who you ask:) Mine lives in with my polys and green aro. Bloody expensive too, 500.00 plus. They are somewhat susceptible to fungus as youngsters, too.

thanx man i have been wondering that for so long

where would be a good place to start looking for one?

I saw this little guy once at a lfs. They were selling for $300. There was this guy who was checking it out and asked how much. When the owner replied $300, he offered to buy it for $3. :wall: I don't know how the owner kept his cool, but even I wanted to :nutkick:

I'm gonna have to ask at my lfs, i want one so bad but thats alot

I am getting mine on Monday and its gonna run me $500.

ouch, i always fall in love with the expensive pets
