FRTs shed after being dry for a while (as in after shipping in moist paper) and if there's a problem with their conditions.
Ensure the proper conditions are set for your FRT. They come from alkaline and brackish waters with a temp 80F to 84F. Captive care should include turtle sulfa blocks and calcium supplements.
