Is it a good thing that my pink convict fry are grazing off my sponge filter? They are getting crushed NLS pellets and are growing well. Thanks!

mature/established sponge filters have lots of little yummies on them that fish, especially fry, love to pick at. inverts like shrimp are fond of feeding off a sponge filter too.
My fry are always pecking at the sponge filter and there is a small group that sleep on the top of the sponge at night.
Ok good! I'm glad my sponge filter is helping feed the swarm of fry I've got lol. Mine like to sleep on top of the sponge too haha. Thanks guys!
++1 to sponge filters, with several clear advantages, They don't suck up the fry, they help to aerate the tank and huge surface area for bacteria.... and like said earlier, a great feeding ground.
