Hi...i got a breeding pair of jade eyes from work (LFS) and a week later they were cleaning under a slate...did not think that the male could get under there....so after a couple of days i lifed the rock onto a higher rock so he could get under...i saw no eggs or fry....then later that day (2hours or so) i see they have moved to the other end of the tank....then today i see hundreds of fry...where did they come from?

Many cichlids will move their fry from one pit to another. What you probably saw were the parents preparing the new pit for their fry.

Yea i agree, they were probably cleaning it, moved the eggs and when you looked again they had hatched.........

Lack of observation probably. They didn't just appear. You've had eggs and then fry for about a week now, unknown to you. ;)
You gotta hand it to the little buggers, they're good.

lol...it was easy to see my 10" pair of severums eggs cos they cant hide under things lol...but these little guys are hard to see (male is 4.5") thanks for the input!
