Fry Disappeared

My convicts recently spawned and when I checked on the tank I only saw two fry which where sucked into one of my filters as I watched. Do you think this is what happened to the rest of them? If so, what is the best remedy for this. They are currently in a 55 gal tank with two Penguin 350 filters.

put foam covers on your intakes..

The parents probably ate them. It happens sometime on there first batch. But if there getting sucked into the filter put a sponge over the intake.
